Chairman Andy Coleman says Swansea City are “far from finished” in the summer transfer window.

In recent months, 13 players have already left the Swans club, with only four – Lawrence Vigouroux, Eom Ji-Sung, Goncalo Franco and Zan Vipotnik – moving to Luke Williams’ team.

They are desperately short of options in certain areas of their squad and head coach Williams explained that the club may need an “even tighter strategy in the future to get the players somewhat on the same page before the transfer windows open”.

But Swans chairman Coleman stressed that the club is continuing to explore the market to strengthen its squad before the transfer deadline.

In Swansea’s preparation programme for the Championship clash with Preston North End, Coleman wrote: “Our new signings (against Gillingham) have put in some stirring performances and have made a positive impression since their arrival. We know we need to further strengthen our squad with quality players before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.”

“Our recruitment work is ongoing and our efforts during this period are far from complete as we aim to improve and strengthen Luke’s squad.”
