Olympic gymnasts Aleah Finnegan and Emma Malabuyo dance to “Espresso” during gymnastics training

Aleah Finnegan and Emma Malabuyo not only passed on their skills and knowledge during their free gymnastics training, they also impressed the participants with their dance steps.

In a video posted on X by JP Soriano of GMA Integrated News, the two Filipino Olympians are seen dancing to Sabrina Carpenter’s viral hit “Espresso.”

According to Soriano, they performed the performance during training breaks held at the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines gym in Intramuros, Manila.

Malabuyo, Finnegan and fellow gymnast Levi Ruivivar failed to qualify for the medal round of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

At the end of all the divisions, Ruivivar ended up in 40th place, while Malabuyo and Finnegan finished 41st and 47th respectively.

Finnegan had previously said that representing the Philippines was a “dream come true.”

The Filipino Olympians were welcomed back with a grand event at the Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.

The athletes also proceeded to Malacañang Palace for an awards ceremony and reception dinner, where they were greeted by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.

Finnegan and Malabuyo, however, said they did not attend the event at the palace because they were not informed. The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said all Filipino Olympians were invited to the event.
