Halle Berry shows her funny side after landing face down on the ground at a charity event
If your week has started badly, think about Halle Berry who started the weekend by lying face down on the floor at a charity party.
The Oscar winner was the guest of honor at the “Looking Beyond LA” luncheon on Friday and rushed to the stage on her way to present an award.
Thankfully, the Monster actress was unharmed—apart from perhaps a bruised ego—but showed what a good athlete she is by sharing footage of the moment she stumbled on Instagram.
“Sometimes you bust your ass!” she wrote under the clip.
She then explained what happened, writing: “My dear friend @shillahekmatpiano had invited me to speak at her charity event celebrating a wonderful organization called @lookingbeyondla that raises money for children with special needs… then this happened!!! I fell flat on my face.”
She added: “If you can, go to lookingbeyondla.com and donate. Kids are worth it!”

In the clip, Halle is seen on her way to the podium when she trips over a step and falls face down on the stage – accompanied by audible gasps from the audience.
After the actress is helped to stand, she laughs and holds her hand to her forehead as the crowd cheers.
“OK, when I see this on the Internet…” she says jokingly to the audience.
