A five-year-old boy has been described as a “hero” after saving his unconscious mother’s life at home by calling 999.

When Ruby Natalie, 30, started feeling dizzy on August 8, she decided to lie down and “watch a bit of TV” in her central London flat.

Less than an hour later, her youngest son JJ, five, came into the bedroom and asked for something to drink – but when she went to get him something to drink, she suddenly fainted.

The mother-of-one told MailOnline: “Of course I immediately jumped up to get him something to drink.”

“And then in the hallway, I can’t remember anything. That’s when I collapsed.”

As his mother lay unconscious, brave JJ dialled 999 on her phone and spoke to an operator.

While most five-year-olds would have burst into tears, paramedics later reported that JJ remained “relaxed” and “very calm.”

Under the guidance of the emergency operator, JJ carefully placed his mother in the recovery position and monitored her breathing.

Ruby said: “There was a moment when he could no longer hear me breathing and he calmly said to the operator, ‘I don’t know if Mum died.'”

“And then I took another breath and he said, ‘Oh no, no! Mom is alive! She’s alive! She’s alive!'”

Ruby, who works as an influencer, recently moved to central London with her nine-year-old sons JJ and Leo.

The teenagers are still getting used to their new surroundings and when the telephone operator asked JJ for his address, he replied: “London”.

When JJ was asked more specifically about their whereabouts in the capital, he replied: “In a tall building.”

However, brave JJ immediately called 999 and remained “very calm” as he spoke to operators.

Ruby said, “God bless him. He tried to narrow it down by saying our apartment had three balconies. He’s a little gem.”

Later, the operator asked JJ to unlock the door so the paramedics could arrive, but the wise five-year-old told him he wouldn’t do it “because of the strangers.”

“I won’t unlock the door until you get here,” JJ explained.

Ruby slowly regained consciousness when the paramedics arrived along with her fiancé Ansis (26), who was at the time repairing his new car in a nearby parking lot.

Nine-year-old Leo was also not in the house when Ruby collapsed, so little JJ had to deal with the crisis alone.

“I woke up and my back was so numb because I landed on it so awkwardly,” Ruby said. “I screamed because I thought I was paralyzed.”

She was taken to St. Thomas’ Hospital in London, where doctors discovered bleeding around her right fallopian tube and immediately underwent emergency surgery.

Ruby stayed in the hospital for four days to recover. JJ made sure to bring a bouquet of flowers to his loving mother.

The young mother has now returned home and JJ couldn’t be happier about his newfound fame.

Ruby said: “He’s really proud of himself. He understands that he’s in the papers and he always says, ‘Oh, I’m famous.'”

Since JJ had only recently moved into the apartment, he had only just familiarized himself with the location and was unable to give the emergency dispatchers an exact address.

JJ, described by Ruby as “an adult in a child’s body,” will enter first grade next September.

“He is the smartest in his class and when people hear him speak, they are speechless,” she said.

“Because what he says is literally like a grown man in a child’s body. His vocabulary is incredible.”

“He is my hero.”
