The Eufy Omni S1 Pro launched on Kickstarter but has recently been fully launched and is sold on Eufy’s website and Amazon. The bot, along with the charging dock and all its power, currently costs $1499, with no current offers showing. While there are currently no discount codes, Eufy offers payment plans through Affirm that are as low as $136/month if needed.

The Eufy Omni S1 Pro’s packaging was huge – much bigger than I thought it would be – but it’s an impressive all-in-one base. It’s worth noting that Eufy specifically attributes ten functions to the base station, but more on that later. The packaging was clear and sturdy, safely protecting the contents. Upon unboxing, I was greeted by the futuristic design of the robot vacuum, base station, some accessories, and documentation.

Futuristic, minimalist, beautiful

Most robot vacuums look the same: a round robot with a sensor sticking out the top like the cockpit of an airplane. In short, it was boring, overdone, and predictable. Eufy has gone its own way with the Omni S1 Pro. Rather than being round, it’s square with rounded edges (or a square circle if you must) and has no protrusion on the top of the device.

This design is elegant and modern, with a focus on minimalist beauty. This design language does not stop with the vacuum/mopping robot itself, but can also be found in the base station. These are not only elegant, clean, modern and look cool, but are also robust and durable.

The setup process was straightforward once I connected everything to the Eufy Clean app (available for Android and iPhone). I removed some padding used for shipping, connected the base pan to the station, turned on the main power for the mop/vac, checked the dust bag, added the cleaning solution (which was a brilliant approach compared to adding the solution directly to the water tank), attached the dirty water tank, filled the clean water tank, and then started the pairing process for the device.

This process was quick; unlike other robot cleaners that have to search every inch (or nearly every inch) of your home to create a map, the Omni S1 Pro covered the main floor of my house in a matter of minutes. It avoided toys, furniture, and children as it searched every nook and cranny. After this mapping, I refined the room markers, specifically noting where the living room ends, where the kitchen begins, where the hallway meets the entryway, and so on. It did a pretty good job, but I wanted to refine it so that when I’m only cleaning certain rooms, I know where to beg my kids not to drop crumbs for at least 20 minutes.

Cleaning becomes a forgotten task

As mentioned, the all-in-one base station and the robot’s nifty features make this mop/vacuum hybrid a dream. Eufy calls the docking station a 10-in-1 UniClean station. In one tower, it can automatically empty, wash, refill, and air dry with heat; it has an Eco-Clean ozone function, wastewater collection, mop detergent dispensing, LCD touchscreen control, dust bag, and quick charge function.

Aside from the features of the best all-in-one charging station I’ve ever tried, the robot mop and vacuum cleaner are the most impressive robots I’ve ever used in my home. The standout features include the mop roller function that continuously cleans itself, the precise corner-to-edge cleaning function, the 3D MatrixEye obstacle avoidance, and the powerful 8,000Pa suction power.

That’s a lot of numbers, but what that means on a day-to-day basis is that I use this thing every day to clean everything from a spill in the kitchen to my entire house. Since the first day I got the S1 Pro, I haven’t had to get out my other mop or vacuum. In fact, I got rid of my single-hand vacuum altogether because I hate messes, and I’ve only used a handheld vacuum for a few crumbs on a counter when I could have swept those to the floor and let the Omni S1 Pro catch them.

I’ve refilled the water many times, but never replaced the cleaning solution or the waste bag. This fantastic addition to my household cleaning routine has allowed me to set it and forget it. I trust it to avoid obstacles, slide under my furniture with ease, and keep my house clean without much fuss. All I have to do is click around in the Eufy Clean app.

Should you buy the Eufy Omni S1 Pro?

The Eufy Omni S1 Pro has given me back the time I would otherwise spend vacuuming or mopping, allowing me to devote it to the more important things in my life. If you’re looking for a fantastic all-around vacuum/mop and have a significant amount of hard floors or space to mop, there’s no better option on the market right now.

The only downsides to this vacuum cleaner are that since it’s a self-cleaning machine, I get semi-regular notifications to clean some of the filters in the robot, which takes a few seconds each time. Also, it’s a bit annoying to pull out the mop to clean, although it’s by no means impossible.
