Missing person report lifted after Fort Lauderdale boy found safe and sound – NBC 6 South Florida

A five-year-old boy who was the focus of a nationwide missing person report has been found safe and sound, authorities said.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has lifted the alert for Cameron Dixon, who was reported missing in Fort Lauderdale on Friday.

Authorities did not provide any further information about his whereabouts.

On Friday, a missing person report was issued for a five-year-old boy who was last seen in Fort Lauderdale.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued an alert for Cameron Dixon, who was last seen Friday in the 100 block of Northeast 11th Avenue.

The child may be in the company of 37-year-old Leon Dixon, officials said. They may be traveling in a gray 2019 Chevrolet Cruze with Florida license plate AJ51GI that may have a large dent in the rear passenger door.

Cameron Dixon is a black male, 4’5″ tall and 60 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and black shorts.

Anyone who finds them is advised not to approach them and to call the police or 911 immediately.
