Hoyt hates the natives of the islands, and so Vaas is forced to argue with his sister and their group.

After defeating Vaas, the game feels more hollow as the intense rivalry between Jason and Vaas is no longer present. It is a testament to how good Vaas is as a villain that the game suffers when he is no longer there in the rest of the game.
