UPDATE: Man identified as suspect in Riverside Drive gas station shooting has died – 41NBC News

Investigators believe a man identified as a suspect in the death of Cotina Louise Fuller has died.

UPDATE (3.15pm): Investigators believe a man identified as a suspect in the death of Cotina Louise Fuller has died.

The sheriff’s office confirmed that the victim’s husband, 44-year-old Wayne Anthony Fuller Jr., was the person of interest in the incident.

According to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office press release, Fuller fled in a gold SUV. The Spalding County Sheriff’s Office eventually spotted him and stopped him in McDonough.

Deputies say Fuller took his own life shortly before 1:45 p.m.


UPDATE (2pm) The victim was identified as 51-year-old Cotina Louise Fuller. Next of kin have been notified, according to Deputy Coroner Stone.


ORIGINAL STORY (12:22 PM):

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A woman is dead after being shot at Fast Trip in the 2600 block of Riverside Drive Friday morning, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The fatal shooting was reported to the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at 11:07 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found an unconscious woman with a gunshot wound. Paramedics arrived to treat the victim, but she succumbed to her injuries.

Deputy Coroner LuAnne Stone pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim’s name will be released once next of kin have been notified.

The shooting is currently under investigation.
