What happened in season 2, episode 7 of Oshi No Ko?

A large portion of Episode 7 is devoted to the stage play Tokyo Blade 2.5D, with the story progressing, some lines being improvised and compliments being made in the heads of the main actors. It’s an entertaining experience that makes it the perfect antidote to the things that happen backstage, because, let’s face it, things aren’t going so well among the actors themselves.

We revisit Akane’s past and see how they idolize Kana and want to become as much like her as they can. Although there isn’t a huge age difference, the difference in experience is very notable, at least from Akane’s perspective, and they basically get to know their hero. Unfortunately, the old saying proves true and Akane isn’t happy with Kana overall.
