Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars have officially released their new single “Die With a Smile”.

Described as a “timeless ballad” by the two powerful artists themselves, “Die With a Smile” marks Gaga and Bruno’s first-ever collaboration and is also their first new music release since 2021 and 2022 respectively.

Lady Gaga has repeatedly announced a new album, which is currently titled LG7 as her seventh studio LP, in recent months. She wrote on Twitter: “While you wait for LG7… ‘Die With a Smile’, a duet with Bruno Mars.”

Gaga explained how the song came about: “Bruno and I have a lot of respect for each other and talked about collaborating. I was finishing up my own album in Malibu and one night after a long day he asked me to come to his studio to listen to something he was working on. It was about midnight when I got there and I was blown away when I heard what he had started doing. We stayed up all night writing and finishing the song. Bruno’s talent is indescribable. His musicality and vision are on a whole new level. There is no one like him.”

While she is in the midst of working on her album, Gaga also recently performed at the Olympic Games, where she showed a short clip from the upcoming project outside her Paris hotel. She is also set to perform in Joker: Foil a Deux, which will be released in theaters on October 4, 2024.

In the meantime, Mars recently expanded his Las Vegas residency with a new concert series at Dolby Live at the Park MGM in Las Vegas in December. Tickets are available here.
