The Tri County Northeast Football Team is looking to build on last year’s success under new head coach Jake Kneifl. The Wolfpack has 7 starters on both sides of the ball, including Jace Malasek (5’9, G/LB), Thatcher Lamp (6’0, Jr TE/S), Jackson Belt (6’1, TE/LB Sr), Bryan Ison (5’7, Sr RB/LB), Ben Jorgensen (5’7 Sr QB/S), Dylan Boyle (5’10, Sr G/DE), Brayden McCorkindale (5’10, Sr FB/NG), Nate Franzluebbers (5’9, Jr G/NG) and Boden Jackson (6’0, Sr C/DE).

Tri County Northeast said goodbye to Hunter Heikes and Michael Dickens last year.

Coach Kneifl tells us his background.

Kneifl adds that the offseason was excellent.

I expect the Wolf Pack to have a good season again this year and to attract a lot of attention.

Jeff’s season outlook:

Tri County Northeast is looking to repeat or even surpass last year’s record. Coach Kneifl says the team has a good mix of older and younger players. “We have most of our regular players back on both sides of the ball. We also have some younger players who will step up this season and help the team a lot.”

The Wolfpack will host Bancroft-Rosalie on Friday for the season opener. Kneifl talks about the game against the Panthers.

Tri County Northeast is in District D1-2 with Homer, Pender, GACC, Wakefield and Wisner-Pilger. Kneifl says the entire schedule is tough.

I expect the Wolf Pack to have a similar season as last year.

Jeff’s opinion on the season:

Tri County Northeast should be looking forward to the upcoming season with great anticipation. With the return of seven starters on both sides of the ball and last year’s success, there is a lot of potential and upside to this team. It should no doubt be a very entertaining year for the Wolfpack.
