Kaitlyn Devers’ performance as Abby in season 2 of The Last of Us is already receiving high praise from one of her co-stars: “Give her the damn Emmy”
Dina actress Isabela Merced has had high praise for her new cast member Kaitlyn Dever in season 2 of The Last of Us.
“Give her the damn Emmy, honestly,” teased Merced Dever of his work as WLF member Abby during a recent appearance on Happy Sad Confused.
“I’m so excited to show people how incredibly well (Ellie actress) Bella (Ramsey) and Kaitlyn did.”
Dever and Merced lead a cast of new faces in The Last of Us Season 2, which is currently filming. They are joined by Young Mazino as Jesse, Danny Ramirez as Manny, Ariela Barer as Mel and Tati Gabrielle as Nora – all characters who will be familiar to those who have played Naughty Dog’s sequel, The Last of Us Part 2.
As revealed in the first teaser for The Last of Us season 2, Catherine O’Hara will play an unnamed character from Jackson, apparently a therapist trying to explore an apparent rift between Pedro Pascal’s Joel and Ellie. Jeffrey Wright will reprise his game role as Isaac, the leader of the WLF.
Before filming, Ramsay had nothing but kind words for Dever – who, ironically, was once slated to play the role of Ellie in a film adaptation of “The Last of Us.”
“She’s great, Isabela and Young are great,” Ramsey told GamesRadar+. “I’m really looking forward to getting started with them all.”
The second season of The Last of Us is scheduled to air in 2025. For more information, stay tuned for new TV shows coming your way.
