Pierce Brosnan goes on another mission in the upcoming film not as James Bond, but as a veteran of the Second World War The last shooter. The British drama based on true events is directed by Terry Loane and has set a November release date, according to Deadline. With talent at every level and an emotional story that is second to none, this film is one to watch out for.

The last shooter follows Brosnan as Artie Crawford, a World War II veteran living in a nursing home in Northern Ireland. When he loses his wife, he decides to escape his nursing home on the 75th anniversary of the Normandy landings and embarks on a journey to France to pay his last respects. In the accompanying picture, Brosnan is seen transformed into the war veteran, who seems to be reminiscing about the good old days. Peter GoldwynPresident of Samuel Goldwyn Films, which will distribute the film, said: “We are delighted to bring this heartwarming and poignant story of a war veteran to audiences in the United States. We are confident that this true story will appeal to audiences and resonate across the country.”
