On Tuesday, Nebraska Football signed former LSU tight end Mac Markway, who made the announcement on social media.

Markway was a four-star talent and the 18th overall pick.^th Tight end in the class of 2023. He was the ninth-ranked player in his class from the state of Missouri according to the 247sports Composite rankings. He committed to LSU on March 24, 2022, and signed with the Tigers in December.

As a freshman last year, he appeared in 12 games with one start and caught three passes for 16 yards. He started his first game against Mississippi State in an LSU win. Markway entered the transfer portal on August 6.

This is another strong catch for a tight end room that is well-positioned for the future. Thomas Fidone and Nate Boerkircher will be the headliners of the room this coming season. Aside from those two, the room is filled with tight end options for the future. Markway undoubtedly contributes to that.
