When North America’s leading wire and cable company invests in a facility with an area of ​​almost 110,000 square meters, it is a clear statement. South Wirean $8 billion company with over 9,000 employees around the world, officially opened its newest and largest distribution center last week with a celebratory ribbon cutting and tour.

Southwire executives at the Dallas Fort Worth Customer Service Center In AllianzTexas hosted approximately 150 business leaders and stakeholders and showcased the center’s advanced industrial design, modernized warehousing solutions and automated material handling. The new center is expected to employ 250 people who will oversee the distribution of Southwire’s full range of products, from commercial and residential to utility and industrial solutions.

As Rich StinsonPresident and CEO of Southwire, put it this way: “This facility is a true testament to our ongoing modernization efforts and our unwavering commitment to providing the very best customer experience.” It is part of a larger $1.5 billion investment across Southwire’s service area aimed at increasing efficiency, competitiveness and ability to grow.

“We look forward to Southwire growing with us,” Perot it said in a statement, indicating the further expansion of AllianceTexas as a center for innovative industrial space.

“We’ve owned this land for 30 years,” he added, “and I can’t think of a better customer than Southwire.” Perot, whose Hillwood developed the 27,000-acre AllianceTexas site, noted that about 70,000 people come there to work every day.
