After a third season with prominent roles for special guest stars Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd, Only murders in the building is back with a fourth season that is not only causing a stir in terms of star cast (and bringing back the legendary Streep),, but takes the story in a completely crazy and metaphysical direction that could make the series the most unique season yet.
And of course, there is also a crime story at the center. Charles, Oliver and Mabel have become famous enough that their Only murders in the building The podcast is adapted (with Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis and Eva Longoria playing themselves in the roles of the trio) and as they delve into it, they discover that one of Charles’ oldest friends has been murdered (or so it seems).
As we saw at the end of the third season, Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch)—Charles’ stunt double in his show Brazzos– was shot through the window by a sniper. We don’t yet know if Sazz was actually killed, but we Do knows that Sazz looks exactly like Charles. This probably means that whoever shot Sazz I actually wanted to shoot Charles. And what does that mean?
Perhaps our trio has finally met their match when it comes to snooping a little too much. But before they can unravel the mystery that’s revealed this time, they’ll have to deal with a whole new threat – fame and potentially demanding actors.
