Fall Update on Library Construction Projects – UWM Libraries
New study area now open on the second floor of the West Wing of the Library.

Over the summer, the libraries completed the renovation of an area on the second floor of the West Wing, overlooking the courtyard and the Three Bronze Discs sculpture, as an open study area for students. Work continues on various renovations in the Golda Meir Library, first announced in May.

On the second floor of the West Wing, the Libraries are renovating the area that houses the Art and Architecture collection (Ns and NAs), which also includes open study spaces and work cubicles. The project includes painting, re-carpeting, and renovating a former office into two group study spaces. Work will be done during the fall semester and winter semester.

On the second floor of the East Wing, the Libraries and Graduate School are collaborating on the construction of a graduate common room. The project is scheduled for completion this semester.

On the third floor, West Wing, the Libraries are renovating a meeting room (W301) and adjacent restrooms off the landing. As part of the project, the West Wing restrooms on the second and third floors will be closed for most of the fall semester. The East Wing restrooms on those floors will remain open.

We sincerely apologize for any disruption caused by these construction projects and will provide you with further updates once the projects are completed.
