Act fast! Our favorite mini PC is $150 off for a limited time

When I reviewed the Apple Mac mini M2, I was surprised at how much power is packed into this tiny PC. It’s a great desktop PC for people who need a powerful Mac because it packs so much power and value into a tiny chassis that easily fits on your desk.

The upgraded M2 Pro version is even more powerful, and right now is a great time to get one, as the Mac mini M2 Pro is $1,149 on Amazon, $150 off its usual price of $1,299. (Click the digital coupon on the page to get that final price at checkout.) It’s one of the best Labor Day sales we’ve seen yet.

To get the full discount, you’ll need to apply the optional $50 coupon at Amazon. While it’s not the biggest discount, it’s one of the best Apple deals I’ve seen this month, and it’s definitely worth it if you’re looking for a powerful desktop that doesn’t take up a lot of space.

This particular model of the Mac mini M2 Pro is almost identical to the model I tested, and if you like my Mac mini M2 reviewYou can see how much fun I had using this tiny PC even though I’m not a regular Mac user.

If you’re in the same boat, trust me: macOS is easier to understand than ever, and once you do, you’ll be impressed by how fast and quiet this little Mac mini can be. Browsing the web and running applications is lightning fast, and even demanding work like photo/video editing doesn’t upset this little PC, thanks to the power of the Apple M2 Pro chip.

What I mean becomes clear when you look at the table of results from our CPU benchmark test above, where you can see that in terms of raw CPU speed, the Mac mini M2 Pro is comparable to a fully loaded MacBook Pro with the more powerful Apple M2 Max chip.

Gaming fans should know that while the Mac mini M2 Pro isn’t optimized for gaming, I still had a lot of fun playing games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Metro Exodus. I was able to get both games running at 4K on the Mac mini M2 Pro, and while Metro definitely struggles to hit 30 frames per second, it’s playable and enjoyable. Older games like Rise of the Tomb Raider or Sid Meier’s Civilization VI run even better, as do Mac-optimized games like Resident Evil 8, so you can have a lot of fun with this tiny PC.

And since it measures about 7.7 x 7.7 x 1.4 inches and weighs about 3 pounds, the Mac mini M2 will easily fit into your existing desk or entertainment center. You get plenty of ports (2x Thunderbolt 4, 2x USB-A, HDMI out, Ethernet, 3.5mm) and support for up to three external displays on this model, which is ideal for multitaskers.

For these and other reasons, I think the Mac mini M2 is one of the best mini PCs you can get right now. So if you can use a new desktop Mac with plenty of power and not many drawbacks, I recommend you take advantage of this deal and grab the Mac mini M2 Pro while it’s on sale! Be sure to click the button on Amazon to also use the $50 off coupon and save the full $150!
