It’s easy to think of royalty as these great gods and goddesses that tower over us mere mortals, but as it turns out, many of them are quite comparable in size, and it’s more than likely that if you were to meet royalty, you would be the taller one.
While some of the royal men may tower over people (Prince William is an incredible 6ft 3in), the royal ladies are known for their petite figures. But when it comes to members of Europe’s royal families, who takes the crown on this occasion? Could it be Princess Charlene of Monaco, a former Olympic swimmer, or King Felipe of Spain?

Queen Maxima is the tallest female royal on this list, and although she stands at 5’8″ like King Carl Gustaf Máxima, she is a few inches shorter than the Swedish monarch.
Princess Charlene
Princess Charlene is another member of the royal family who is 1.73 m tall, but only one centimeter shorter than Maxima.

On the shorter side of the list: Denmark’s Queen Mary is 5’6 tall.
Queen Letizia
Despite her outstanding husband, Queen Letizia At 1.65 m tall, he is actually the smallest royal on this list.
Queen Silvia
