InstagramThe latest feature is a throwback to the social platform Myspace from the early 2000s: you can now add music to your profile.

The social media site added this feature in collaboration with Sabrina Carpenterwho recently released a new album, Short and sweet. Currently Please, please, please Singer has her song Taste good as her profile song.

This feature is not exactly new for modern social media platforms, because on facebook. began to allow users to play music displayed on their profile à la Myspace in 2021.

To add a song to your profile, open the Instagram app and tap your profile icon in the bottom right of the screen. Tap “Edit Profile” and find the “Music” tab under “Links and Banners.” Select “Choose a song for your profile” and enter the song you like or that fits your mood.

You can then scroll through the entire song and select a portion of it to play. Tap Done when you’re done with your selection.

Now the song will appear under your bio on your profile. Unlike Myspace, Instagram doesn’t automatically play the song when someone visits your page. Instead, you have to tap the play button to hear the music.

Earlier this year, Instagram allowed its users to add notes, a temporary status, to posts and reels.
