These Costco favorites of mine cost less than $12

When I go to Costco, I try to stock up on healthy foods like vegetables, fruits, and proteins. But I have to admit, my sweet tooth often takes over.

The good news is that many of my favorite treats at Costco are relatively inexpensive for the amount I buy. Here are a few of my favorite treats that are under $12.

1. Kirkland Signature Peanut Butter Filled Pretzel Nuggets

I like almost anything with peanut butter. And if you like the idea of peanut butter-filled pretzels, you should try this creation from Kirkland.

The online price for a 55-ounce jar is $11.99, but Costco almost always offers lower store prices because shipping and handling is included when ordering online.

2. Kirkland Signature Cashew Clusters

I’m a fan of snacks that combine a little sweet with a little salty, and these cashew clusters tick that box. They’re packed with almonds and pumpkin seeds for extra crunch, and I find they give me a nice energy boost when I need one.

A 2-pound bag costs $10.99 online, which means you can expect an even cheaper price in the store. However, if you’re undergoing dental work, these clusters may not be ideal for you, as they’re really heavy on the crunch.

3. Kirkland Signature Sweet Heat Snack Mix

I tend to buy nut-based snacks because I find they’re less unhealthy than pure sugar, and I like adding a little protein to my day. This sweet, spicy blend includes barbecue-flavored almonds, spiced cashews, honey-roasted sesame sticks, corn nuggets, and honey-glazed pecans.

I don’t find it very spicy, but if you’re sensitive to it, you might want to skip it. A 24-ounce bag costs $10.99 online.

4. Kirkland Signature Creamy Almond Butter

For me, almond butter is more of a snack than a main meal ingredient. I like to spread it on apple slices for a midday boost.

A 27-ounce jar of Kirkland Almond Butter costs just $7.49 online. And it’s made in a peanut-free factory, so if you’re intolerant to peanuts, it may be safe for you to consume this product.

5. Muffins from Kirkland Bakery

On Saturday mornings we have muffins at our house. It’s my way of rewarding everyone for making it through the work or school week.

A 12-pack of Kirkland muffins costs $9.99 at my local Costco. Since prices can vary by store, you may pay a little more or less.

But if you think these are boring muffins, they’re not. They’re fluffy and moist, and you can choose from a variety of flavors so you’re not stuck with 12 of the same kind. My personal favorites are blueberry, coffee cake, and pumpkin streusel muffins, but the latter two are only available at certain times of the year.

It’s worth shopping at Costco – but be careful

You don’t have to spend a fortune to buy delicious, high-quality products at Costco. And all of these products are a great deal considering the taste and quantity.

But remember: The danger of buying food in bulk is that you’ll throw some of it away. That’s the opposite of saving money. So if you don’t normally snack on nuts, you might not want to splurge on the Sweet Heat mix. And if you can’t remember the last time you ate almond butter, buying a large amount of it probably isn’t necessary.

However, if you think you’ll enjoy any of the above and can eat them up, I highly recommend it. Oh, and the muffins freeze beautifully, so don’t expect to have to eat 12 giant muffins in a single weekend.
