16-year-old girl arrested in armed robbery in DC


Washington, DC — A 16-year-old suspect was arrested following an armed robbery in Northeast D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

The incident occurred on Sunday, August 25th, at approximately 10:17 p.m. in the 3200 block of 10th Street, Northeast. The victim reported being approached by two suspects, one brandishing a firearm while the other demanded the victim’s property. After the victim complied, the suspects fled the scene with the stolen items.

Officers quickly searched the area and were able to locate and arrest one of the suspects. After an investigation, a 16-year-old female from Northeast DC was charged with robbery and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for violent crimes in the District of Columbia.

  • Lincoln man arrested on multiple felony charges in Sussex County drug investigation

    LINCOLN, Delaware. — Delaware State Police arrested a 26-year-old Lincoln man Friday as part of a coordinated drug investigation in Sussex County. William Dunning was arrested after authorities executed a search warrant on his residence in the 9000 block of Greentop Road, according to a statement from Delaware State Police.

    The arrest followed a months-long investigation by the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team, the Sussex County Narcotics Unit and the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force. Dunning was identified as a key figure in the drug trade at that location.

    While searching the home, police discovered approximately 22.46 grams of suspected crack cocaine, approximately 150.26 grams of packaged marijuana, a loaded 9mm handgun, ammunition, and various drug paraphernalia. Authorities noted that both the firearm and suspected crack cocaine were found in an area that was easily accessible to the children living in the home.

    Dunning was arrested without incident and is charged with several serious crimes, including drug possession with intent to resell and illegal possession of a firearm. Delaware State Police did not release the exact charges but confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.

    Authorities have not released further details about the operation or the potential impact on others involved. Dunning’s arrest represents an important step forward in ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in Sussex County.
