Suspected red light offender caused an accident involving three cars last night
According to city spokesman Quinn Konold, police believe a three-car crash on North John Wayne Parkway last night was caused by a driver ignoring a red light.
Maricopa Police and Fire Departments responded to the crash on John Wayne Parkway at West Honeycutt Road at 8:58 p.m.
A white sedan was removed from the scene, while two other cars remained disabled on the road. A Honda SUV sustained severe front-end damage and a Toyota sedan sustained front-end damage to the driver’s side.
It is unclear which vehicle is believed to have run the red light.
The crash blocked Honeycutt’s right-turn lane onto John Wayne Parkway and two northbound lanes. There were no injuries, Konold said.
