The new edition of the EFL Carabao Cup, which features the best talent from all English football leagues, begins on Tuesday. Liverpool starts as defending champions.

The tournament, traditionally known as the League Cup, is open to all clubs from the top four English leagues. This year’s tournament will see 92 clubs competing for the title.

Middlesbrough will face Stoke City in the opening game of the 2024–25 Carabao Cup.

As for the EFL Cup, now officially called the Carabao Cup, CBS and Paramount+ have exclusive broadcast rights in the US. This is part of the new rights deal between the EFL and CBS. CBS’s broadcasters, including the CBS Sports Network and the CBS Sports Golazo Network, may be able to broadcast matches.

In the 2024-25 season, Paramount+ will be home to most games from each round of the competition. Games can typically be streamed live on select Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 2:45 p.m. ET when the competition is in progress.
