On Monday, 30-year-old DTWS graduate Lindsay Arnold Cusick answered her fans’ most frequently asked question during a “Get Ready With Me” TikTok video.

In the video, Lindsay, who last appeared in the 30th season of the dance competition show, answered the question: “Will you be back on Dancing with the Stars this season?”

“If I decided to come back this season, it’s not like I just decided to do it again and then be on the show,” Lindsay explained.

She continued: “I would have to tell the producers that I’m interested in returning, and then I’d be in the same position as always: I’ll have to wait and see.”

“I have to wait and see if they have a partner for me and if they want to use me. It’s not as simple as saying, ‘I want to be on the show.'”

Lindsay was on DWTS for “almost 10 years” and left after season 30 to focus on her family.

The professional dancer has two daughters, three-year-old Sage and one-year-old June, with her husband Samuel Cusick, whom she married in 2015.

Lindsay told her fans: “I want to address this because it is a very stressful thing.”

“It’s like putting your life on hold for something that’s not guaranteed,” she explained to her fans.

Lindsay revealed that none of the dancers are guaranteed a spot in the upcoming season when it comes to becoming a pro on DWTS.

She explained that during her time on the show, even though she had a contract, “the contract did not guarantee her a job every season.”

“But you have to be available for it when you’re under contract and can’t do other shows – you can’t do other things.”

“You have to be ready in case they decide to use you,” the TV star added.

Difficult situation

Lindsay noted: “Logistically it’s very difficult, especially as a mother, but of course the show is great and if I had the desire to do it again, I could have done it.”

Rumored participants of the 33rd season of DWTS

Dancing With the Stars has announced just one contestant for season 33: Olympic bronze medalist Stephen Nedoroscik. But rumors are swirling about who will be on the show as the Sept. 4 cast announcement draws ever closer. Here’s the rumored cast.

The social media influencer told her fans: “When I stepped back, it wasn’t like I was like, ‘I’m done forever.’

“That’s what works for my life. We just take it season by season.”

“So I understand why people are always curious, because it’s not like I said, ‘I’ll never do it again,'” she recalls.

Since her younger sister Rylee Arnold, 19, had her first season as a pro on DWTS last season, Lindsay admitted that she understands that “people would be even more curious if I went back and did it again with her.”

Lindsay confessed: “After all this, I guess I should get to the point: Am I going to be on Dancing with the Stars next season?

“The answer is no, I will not be competing on Dancing with the Stars this season.”

She stated that she had no interest in returning as it was out of the question at this point in her life.

“I’m still very happy with my decision to just be here with my kids,” Lindsay said.

She continued: “I love the season of life we’re in and it still doesn’t feel quite right for me to be on the show.

“Never say never,” she continued, adding, “But I have to say, it’s been so much fun watching and supporting my sister Rylee.”

“I love that Rylee still makes me feel like I’m a little bit part of the show, but at the same time I can be home with my girls and do what I love here.”
