After five years of construction, the Pullman Sydney Penrith has opened its doors, offering guests prestigious luxury as the area’s first five-star hotel. This project required a range of bespoke carpets to create an opulent floor covering that reflects the project’s cultural inspiration.

The hotel welcomes guests in 153 rooms, a conference centre, a world-class spa and fitness centre and two inspiring dining venues. Located between the hustle and bustle of the Sydney CBD and the tranquillity of the Blue Mountains, Pullman Sydney Penrith combines the perfect blend of luxurious city living with inspiring floor-to-ceiling views of the Blue Mountains.

The first five-star hotel in the greater Penrith area offers a taste of the future luxury developments to come in the western Sydney suburbs. The property is located in the Penrith Panthers Precinct and is also ideally situated close to the future Western Sydney International Airport.

Pullman Sydney Penrith focuses on a comprehensive wellness experience that aims to provide each guest with the best possible experience tailored to their needs. With a sleep therapy menu on offer as well as a state-of-the-art fitness centre on the top floor with inspiring views, the hotel strives to provide a world-class experience with exceptional guest service.

Designed by Turner Studio, the building was inspired by the Nepean River, with the structure representing the three winding bends in the river. Turner’s design was also influenced by the local First Nations community, with 8,000 native plants surrounding the building and other elements incorporating the Nepean River and the Blue Mountains.

Individual carpet surfaces

Pullman Sydney Penrith required a range of bespoke carpets to meet their design brief. Several broadweave and carpet tile products were selected to suit the specific purpose and design element of each individual room.

Each guest room features our Designer Jet® Oceanic Collection Pearlsa bedsheet product, inspired by the local waterways. This ocean-inspired carpet design is also continued in the hallways, creating a seamless overall design underfoot.

Our bespoke Designer Jet® carpet has also been used in the Pullman Penrith’s upscale beverage and dining areas. Each carpet has been individually designed and installed in each dining area to complement the décor of each area – from a bright red carpet in the centre of larger dining areas to a range of tartan-inspired designs creating bespoke spaces that perfectly complement beautiful interiors.

Specially woven carpets have been laid out in the foyer, creating a feeling of comfort as soon as you enter the foyer. The calming colors in the carpet design were chosen by our in-house design team to perfectly match the interior design.
