Sian Welby is joined by her baby Ruby as she returns to This Morning for the first time since her birth
THIS MORNING fans were delighted to see Sian Welby return to screens with her adorable little daughter Ruby in tow.
Sian, who is known in ITV daytime soaps and on Capital FM, gave birth to her child at the end of June.
Just two months later, Sian is back in the studio and her fiancé Jake Beckett is on hand to help her with the baby while she works.
When co-host Craig Doyle appeared on screen, the entire crew couldn’t help but shower the little one with love on her television debut.
She was snuggled up to her father, bouncing as she cooed at his chest.
Craig paid tribute to the new mum and her little bundle of joy, declaring her the newest, tiniest and cutest member of the This Morning family.
“It’s so sweet to have her with me today because I was pretty nervous to leave her,” Sian told Craig.
Then Jake interrupted the sweet moment with a joke: “She pooped a lot before we left, but we’re all fine now!”
“I won’t say what I wanted to say, but… we’re all nervous!” laughed Craig, to which Sian asked, “You had the same morning, didn’t you?”
Jake later added, “We’ll be here all morning for the burgers,” and nodded toward the kitchen.
“Don’t give her burgers!” Craig replied. “I know you’re a new dad, but burgers are not good.”
Sian allowed her fans to follow her updates throughout her pregnancy, from the initial announcement to Ruby’s arrival.
She even had celebrity guests on Capital FM guess the baby’s gender, with Meghan Trainor correctly guessing that it was a girl.
The star announced the baby’s name with a sweet snap of the little tot in a personalized sweater on Instagram that read: “Our little Ruby.”
Since then, she has been following the ups and downs of life as a young mother – and in today’s episode she is particularly interested in the baby sleep specialist they had in the studio.
