The City of Bowling Green Water and Wastewater Department continues to identify and map water supply line materials.

These inspections will continue to occur in phases throughout the city, and residents will be notified through door hangers when it is time to schedule their inspection. Residents must schedule an appointment with city staff or staff from a designated subcontractor (GIS Landmark) to access their property and inspect their utilities.

The City will focus its inspection efforts on the 1st and 2nd Ward subdivisions and Quail Hollow & Pheasant Farms between 3:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

What this means:

  • The water in the city of Bowling Green is safe.
  • The City is required by the Ohio Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to identify and map the water supply line materials in our distribution system.
  • City employees and GIS Landmark staff commissioned by the City of Bowling Green will conduct these scheduled inspections and ensure the presentation of identification documents.
  • This scheduled inspection will only take a few minutes of your time.
  • Pursuant to City of Bowling Green Policy No. 3002 on Guidelines for the Operation of Water Systems – 6a: Any identified employee or representative of the City Water Department shall have access to the property at all reasonable times to inspect pipes, meters, connections, and other appurtenances related to the City’s water supply and to inspect, replace, repair, or remove any meter, pipe, instrumentation, or connection forming part of the City’s water system.

Residents are reminded that city employees and contractors will wear uniforms, drive marked vehicles, and carry proper identification.
