Actress and politician Kangana Ranaut, who is currently promoting her upcoming film ‘Emergency’, recently announced that she has turned down a role in ‘Ram Leela’. She was offered the special dance number in Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s ‘Ram Leela’, a role that eventually went to Priyanka Chopra.

In an interview with NBT, Kangana said: “Aap dekh lijiye mujhe Sanjay Leela Bhansali ne bhi Ram Leela film jo hai usme item number ke liye bulaya. Sab logo ne mujhe bola yeh paagal hai, Bhansali ko mana kar rahi. I said main nahi kar sakti. Chaahe Bhansali was the Chaahe Koi BhiI can’t do item numbers. Artists have to show that integrity. The clip from her interview went viral on Reddit, with many users recalling Priyanka Chopra’s unforgettable dance routine in the film. Kangana’s revelation follows her earlier comments about rejecting Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Sanju‘ and rejected projects with the “three Khans”.

One of the fans commented on the video and wrote, “Bhansali said Aishwarya was offered the song before it went to Priyanka. Priyanka was amazing in the song and it’s impossible to imagine Kangana doing the same justice to the song (sic).” Another fan commented, “Well thank god. Previously, the actor claimed She turned down two of Salman Khan’s blockbuster projects, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Sultan’. She also mentioned that he and the ‘Tiger 3’ actor get along well.

In conversation with YouTuber Siddharth Kannan, Kangana recalled the rejection both “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” and “Sultan”. She said something similar: “Salman (Khan) offered me a role in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. I was like ‘“Yes, did you play a role?” (What role did you give me?) Then he asked me about ‘Sultan’.
