“Movada,” the Leeds-based DJ/producer’s latest bass-heavy jam, is already going viral on TikTok and topping several of Soundcloud’s editorial charts.

A frequent guest on UK indie electronic label Perfect Havoc, Leeds-based DJ/producer Movada continues to captivate audiences with his bass-heavy dance tracks, seamlessly blending the sounds of the 90s and 00s with hip club accents.

This time, on August 23, the rising star will present the song “The Queen”, inspired by 90s garage, which has already caused a sensation on SoundCloud and was a huge success on TikTok. “The Queen” is steadily climbing up Soundcloud’s New & Hot charts, where it recently secured positions 20 and 24 in the Pop category, and is already showing the first signs of becoming a hit.

After “Make U Hot” (feat. Jae Depz), “Love you Better” (feat. Dáhda) with Sluggy Beatz and KAD and “Sober” (La Da Dee) together with his Perfect Havoc colleague Stephani B, “The Queen” is everything you would expect from a Movada production.

Full of nostalgic resonance from the start, its powerful, fast 2-step grooves and dominating bassline pave the way for a catchy vocal hook and playful melodic elements, culminating in an instantly gripping contemporary dance banger.

Another sign of its appeal is the fact that “The Queen” has already inspired over 143 user-generated creations on TikTok, garnering more than 3 million views and further cementing its status as a rising hit.

Movada has made a seamless transition from developing sounds for EA Games to original productions that have earned him considerable attention, including over 30 broadcasts on BBC Radio 1.

Notable tracks include his tech-house remix of Akon’s 2005 hit “Bananza (Belly Dancer)”, which has been viewed 27 million times on TikTok, and “Push It” on Perfect Havoc, which has been played 13 times in a row on BBC Radio 1.

Movada’s work has also been featured on Love Island UK and he has co-written and produced tracks for Matoma, PS1, Sigala and Becky Hill. Expect more Movada collaborations this year with RITON, ESSEL and Craig Gorman.

Now in its ninth year, Perfect Havoc remains at the forefront of crossover dance music, boasting over 10 billion streams worldwide, six UK top 20 singles and numerous platinum, gold and silver awards.

As the year progresses, the label has exciting new releases from Stephani B, Alfie Cridland, Scott Forshaw and others, all of which promise an even better sound and even more energy than before.
