Emaar Hospitality Group, the hospitality and leisure business of global developer Emaar Properties, will open five new hotels in Dubai in 2019, adding a total of 1,373 rooms and suites.
Four of these hotels are part of Emaar’s premium luxury hotels Address Hotels + Resorts and upscale lifestyle hotels Vida Hotels and Resorts. The fifth is the mid-range Rove Hotel, a joint venture between Emaar Properties and Meraas.
“The five new hotel openings this year cement our reputation and capabilities as a leading domestic hotel operator, welcoming visitors from all over the world with a diverse portfolio of hotels that meet their lifestyle needs,” said Chris Newman, Chief Operating Officer of Emaar Hospitality Group.
He said the new hotels would strengthen Emaar’s role as the official hospitality and hotel partner of Expo 2020 Dubai as the city prepares to welcome over 25 million visitors over the six months. “We are committed to supporting Dubai’s tourism strategy to welcome 25 million visitors annually by 2025 with our robust portfolio of upcoming hotel projects and will also focus on expanding our geographic footprint through new hotel management contracts.”
The UAE’s hotel and restaurant market is expected to reach a volume of US$7.6 billion by 2022 and achieve an average annual growth rate of 8.5 percent between 2017 and 2022. In particular, the hotel supply in Dubai is expected to grow to 132,000 by 2019.
Emaar announced in a statement that two hotels will be opening under Address Hotels + Resorts – both in Downtown Dubai: Address Fountain Views and Address Sky View. The new hotels under Vida Hotels and Resorts are Vida The Hills and Vida Harbour Point. The new Rove Hotels property that will welcome guests this year is Rove At The Park. All hotels have started online booking and the response from guests has been strong.
The hotels opening this year are centrally located and will appeal to both business and leisure travelers seeking a refreshing guest experience in Dubai, one of the world’s top 10 tourist destinations. These hotels include Address Fountain Views with 193 hotel rooms and suites; Address Sky View with 169 rooms overlooking the iconic Burj Khalifa; Vida Harbour Point is a new oasis in Dubai Creek Harbour with 275 rooms; Vida The Hills, located in the tranquil Emirates Hills neighbourhood with 157 rooms and suites, and Rove At The Park, located in Dubai Parks and Resorts, with 579 comfortably sized rooms.
Emaar Hospitality Group will showcase its extensive portfolio of existing and future hotel projects in the UAE and international markets at the Arabian Travel Market, the region’s leading travel and tourism industry event.
