A dance performance by students of Uttaranchal University during a college function has taken the internet by storm.

An icebreaker event was held in the college where girls and boys danced to a Hindi song. What followed was quite unexpected as the video posted by Saniya Raithwan on Instagram has garnered over 28 million views so far.

In the video, a boy and a girl are seen dancing together, surrounded by students cheering them on. They were completely unaware that the song being played was actually related to Raksha Bandhan, a festival of bonding between brothers and sisters.

According to the text in the caption of the viral video, the boy is a student of the younger class while the girl is older than him.

The short clip begins with the girl leading the boy to the dance floor. As they begin dancing, the mood changes dramatically as the students realize that it is a Raksha Bandhan song.

The whole group of students bursts into laughter and the boy who understands the lyrics quickly leaves the dance floor laughing.

“The expression on his face changes.”

Meet-and-greet ceremonies are typically organized by graduating students or undergraduates to welcome new students and encourage interaction between newcomers and existing members of the educational institution.
