Seann Walsh is still haunted by his Strictly Come Dancing kissing scandal.

The 38-year-old comedian was at the centre of controversy after he was photographed kissing his married dance partner Katya Jones during his appearance on the BBC show in 2018. He admits he has never danced since and even finds no-parking zones annoying.

Seann, who was dating actress Rebecca Humphries at the time, told fellow comedian Russell Howard on the “Wonderbox” podcast: “I don’t dance. It’s more like you get to a parking lot or something and there’s a sign saying ‘Strictly No Parking’. I still think ‘Arghh’ when I see that.”

“I can hear the word – like a dog hearing something – I can just hear the word and still say ‘Arghh!'”

Seann admits he returned to comedy shows too quickly after the scandal, saying he looked “sick, thin and gaunt” during his performances, where he was regularly booed by audiences.

He said: “I went back too soon – that’s for sure. You have to give the audience or the public a chance to get over it. But I wanted to fight it.”

“I didn’t want what was happening in my life to take away the only thing I had.

“I would have looked uncomfortable. I was extremely thin and gaunt. It was so difficult. The audience didn’t know what to feel. They stood up, they left. Sometimes they told me they were horrified by me.”

Seann had previously declared his intention to put the scandal behind him when he appeared on the ITV reality show “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” in 2022.

On the show, he said: “I just want to make it clear that I am very sorry for what happened and I really want this to be a positive experience and it really was. I want to get out of here and move on.”
