According to Kom Chad Luek, the deceased, a machinist whose name is not given, lived on the fifth floor of the building.

The windows in his room had no safety bars and therefore offered no protection against an accidental fall.

The deceased had the habit of sleepwalking

Two other residents of the building told police that the deceased frequently sleepwalked and talked in his sleep.

One of them, a relative of the victim, confirmed that this happens frequently.

Nevertheless, he frequently warned him about the potential dangers associated with his sleepwalking habits.

A nearby drinks seller also confirmed the deceased’s cheerful mood and expressed his dismay at his sudden death.

Close friend of the deceased brought in for questioning

Both informants reported that the deceased had a close friend who was constantly at his side and accompanied him to meals and to buy drinks.

This close friend has now been taken away for questioning by officers from the Phra Ratchawang Metropolitan Police Station.

The aim of the investigation is to clarify the circumstances that led to the tragic fall.
