Sian Welby is expecting a little girl.

The 37-year-old presenter announced her pregnancy earlier this year and has now revealed the gender of her baby.

Sian, who is engaged to Jake Beckett, told Jordan North on Capital Breakfast: “I’m 38 weeks pregnant – I’ve got 11 days left.”

“Before I go on maternity leave I want to share one more thing with everyone because I’ve decided there are no listeners for Capital Breakfast. We are a family and I’ve told my nearest and dearest what my partner Jake and I are up to.

“And I know you’re thrilled. So I’ll tell you what I have… it’s a girl!”

Jordan, 34, then addressed some encouraging words to his co-host.

He said, “You’re both going to be great parents. You’re going to be the best mommy and he’s going to be the best daddy.”

Sian announced her pregnancy in February.

The TV presenter joked at the time that it had been a lot of “stress” for her to keep the news to herself.

On “Capital Breakfast” she said: “I have a little announcement for you! I’m pregnant!”

“I don’t know how I managed to hide it from you for so long. This is not a joke, this is not a joke! The stress I went through trying to pretend I didn’t drink. The lies, the deceptions, the mocktails! I couldn’t wait to tell you.

“This is a whole new journey for me and I want to take you all on this journey with me. And don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere!

“This is going to be a lot of fun and I can’t wait to share it with you all.”
