Motorcyclist: Motorcyclist hits man while crossing highway, both die | Kolhapur News
Kolhapur: A 28-year-old Motorcyclists met a Man Crossing the Pune-Bengaluru National Park Highway in Shiye Phata on Saturday afternoon. Both died in Accident.
Saurabh Salunkhe, a resident of Nagala Park in Kolhapur, was riding his motorcycle towards Pune at around 3.30 pm.
It was raining heavily at that time. At the same time, Sachin, a 44-year-old resident of Kini, who was working at an industrial unit in Shiroli MIDC, was getting down from a bus at Shiye Phata. Sachin was trying to cross the national highway to reach the other side when he was hit by Salunkhe’s vehicle. Sachin was thrown onto the road barrier. At the same time, Salunkhe was also thrown nearly 30 metres and his bike hit another vehicle.
Salunkhe, who had helped his father in the factory, died on the spot.
Sachin, the industrial worker, who was on his way to the second shift at work, died on the way to the resuscitation hospital.
Similarly, on June 27, three passengers of two cars sustained minor injuries when their vehicles were crushed between two dump trucks on the Shiroli MIDC stretch of the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway 48.
