You may think that every McDonald’s branch operates the same and the menu tastes the same, but that’s not quite the case. There are a number of factors that set one fast food restaurant apart from another. Some work well, others are a total disaster.

Fortunately, Fast Company has done the heavy lifting for all of us Big Mac and Crunchwrap Supreme connoisseurs and rounded up the best and worst McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC and Taco Bell locations across the country. The outlet analyzed Google Maps reviews of every single location in the U.S. and used a combination of the average customer rating and the number of reviews customers have left to create its ranking.

Now you never have to endure a rude drive-thru employee or soggy chicken fingers again.

McDonald’s

The Micky D’s location at 2130 Main Street in Eagle Pass, Texas, secured the coveted first place. It received a total of 194 reviews, a score of 4.25, and a weighted score of 8.63. One customer raved about the “incredible interior.” There’s plenty of space for customers to relax and enjoy their food, as well as ordering machines so you can get your chicken nuggets without even speaking to a member of staff. Ah, an introvert’s dream!

A location in Calexico, California (720 Imperial Avenue) and a location in New Hyde Park, New York (2045 Jericho Turnpike) tied for second place with a score of 4.22 and a weighted score of 8.43. However, the California location had 3,400 reviews while New York had only 1,822.

“If you’re going to eat at McDonald’s, you might as well eat in a mansion,” wrote one reviewer of the New York branch. “I’ve driven by the McDonald’s Mansion a few times over the years and finally decided to stop in and eat there.” It’s located in a converted house and has a 24-hour drive-thru.

10207 Lakewood Boulevard in Downey, California, and 101 S. Expressway in Brownsville, Texas, are tied for third place.

Here’s the original: The McDonald’s at 10042 South Zarzamora Street in San Antonio, Texas, earned the top spot on the list of “worst” restaurants with a rating of 1.37. “The food was dried out, old and full of oil,” one person wrote about the location. “How do they do that? I’m not sure but it was just bad.”

Burger King

The most popular Burger King location is located at 3040 Ella Boulevard in Houston, Texas. It has a score of 4.60, 1,444 reviews, and a weighted score of 11.05. One guest said the general manager was “fantastic” and the entire restaurant had “great energy and great customer service.”

12790 NW Seventh Avenue in North Miami, Florida came in second, while 2280 East Garrison Street in Eagle Pass, Texas had the third best BK (side note: what is it with Eagle Pass, Texas and its excellent fast food restaurants?). A location in El Paso, Texas (6085 Montana Ave) and Doral, Florida (11400 NW 41st Street) came in fourth and fifth on the list.

The Burger King at 4301 Sunset Boulevard in Lexington, South Carolina, is ranked as the worst in the country. It achieved a measly score of 1.42, only 114 reviews and a weighted score of -7.48.

“They don’t even give you a receipt, ever,” one person argued. “Food takes forever to come, sauces are out of the question if you ask for them, and you can’t get a straw. Fries are unsalted and cold 9 times out of 10, food has been left out of my order several times. The whole place is absolutely gross. Like it’s been wiped down with grease.”

Taco Bell

The 5200 CA-1 Taco Bell in Pacifica, California, has been called the “best Taco Bell in the West.” It secured the first place on the list of best T-Bells. It received 4.42 points and a weighted score of 9.81 from 3,400 reviews.

“Best to try and catch the sunset so you can sit outside and enjoy your meal with a great view,” the regular continued in his review. “As for the food, it’s mostly standard Taco Bell fare with a few special dishes that don’t disappoint. They also offer alcoholic beverages!”

A location in Brownsville, Texas (925 FM802) and a branch in Harlingen, Texas (402 Dixieland Road) took second and third place, while 3509 John F. Kennedy Boulevard in Union City, New Jersey, took fourth place for its customer service and 420 S 10th Street in Mcallen, Texas, took fifth and final place thanks to its “amazing” manager.

The most hated Taco Bell location was at 1519 Saxon Boulevard in Deltona, Florida. Customers complained about bad food, burritos that “looked terrible,” and even missing ingredients in their order.

KFC

The Brazil, Indiana location, at 637 East National Avenue, is considered the best KFC in the country. It has a score of 4.67 (weighted score 11.12) and 780 reviews, including one saying the food is “hot and ready” and the staff are “friendly and helpful.”

“The place was full, but we didn’t have to wait to be served,” the customer added. “A great addition to our little town. I will be back.”

501 South Main Street in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, 1301 Southern Hills Center in West Plains, Missouri and 514 Commercial Street in Harrisburg, Illinois followed closely behind. 3970 Highway 411 in Madisonville, Tennessee snagged the last spot on the list.

While it’s no big surprise, the KFC branch at LAX airport, located at 380 World Way in Los Angeles, is the worst of the lot. “Very rude people, bad, overpriced menu. Avoid if you can. Simple ordering on the limited menu was messed up. Just sad. Eating there made me sad. I feel sorry for anyone who has to suffer at this place,” one guest wrote in the reviews.
