How far in advance did AEW plan Bryan Danielson’s All-In Match?

Bryan Danielson will play one of the most important matches of his career on August 25 at All In. There is still a lot of excitement about what will happen to the American Dragon, regardless of whether he wins or loses the match at Wembley Stadium.

Bryan Danielson is nearing the end of his wrestling career and is facing significant physical challenges. Recently, Danielson mentioned on an AEW program that AEW doctors had advised him not to wrestle until All In Day, a statement that was more accurate than many initially thought.

Sean Ross Sapp noted at Fightful Select that Bryan Danielson’s path to AEW All In had been planned since the spring. Although he was cleared to compete in All In and face Jeff Jarrett, he was not medically cleared to compete in AEW Blood and Guts. This led to AEW realizing that Danielson’s matches might be less than expected, resulting in him only wrestling once in the month and a half between the Owen Hart Foundation tournament and All In.

Despite working without a contract for three weeks, Bryan Danielson has continued his duties, including creative contributions and serving on the Disciplinary Committee. AEW sources expect renewed efforts to reach a working agreement when his current term ends. AEW staff have reportedly praised Tony Khan’s trust in Danielson and his transparency.

Bryan Danielson’s selflessness is evident and contrasts with his initial attitude in AEW, where he joked that he didn’t want to help anyone and just wanted to win. He has consistently resisted becoming champion and has often been vocal about losing most of his matches, sometimes even expressing regret for the matches he has won.

Although there is no confirmation that Danielson has said goodbye, he is expected to remain with AEW even after his in-ring career is over. He has expressed a desire to continue working for AEW once his neck issues are resolved and has indicated that he would only consider a return to WWE if the wrestling industry needed him. WWE sources also reportedly admit that he is widely respected and loved within their company.

We will have full coverage of AEW All In whether Bryan Danielson wins or not. Only time will tell what his future in pro wrestling holds, but he certainly goes into this fight as the favorite.
