The policy requires that stray animals must be sent away from their respective areas at least once a week.
Narayan stressed that the number of stray cattle increases during the rainy season. This exacerbates problems such as blocked drains and the spread of waste materials such as feces, urine and dung. These conditions contribute to unhygienic environments, foul odors and possible disease outbreaks.
