Royal Cup Coffee and Tea launches “Lulu’s Blend” to support young shark attack survivor

Two young girls from Mountain Brook were victims of a brutal shark attack while vacationing on Florida’s Gulf Coast in June.

15-year-old Lulu Gribbin was critically injured in a bite, while 16-year-old McCray Faust suffered a serious bite on his foot.

Since that day, Lulu has received tremendous support from Alabama businesses, organizations and citizens.

Now, Birmingham-based Royal Cup Coffee and Tea has launched its own coffee blend to continue supporting Lulu’s future journey.

“Lulu’s Blend,” a medium roast coffee with notes of chocolate and almonds, can be purchased on the company’s website.

Senator Katie Britt, who introduced Lulu’s Law after the shark attack, thanked Royal Cup for supporting the young girl’s recovery.

“We are deeply moved by Lulu Gribbin’s strength and resilience,” said Chip Wann, CEO of Royal Cup Coffee and Tea. “With Lulu’s Blend, we want to harness the power of our community to support Lulu Gribbin’s recovery.”

“This blend is a tribute to her inspiring journey and an opportunity for our community to contribute to her recovery.”

Gribbin was released from the hospital on Friday after 77 days of intensive therapy.
