Girl Scout Group 15141 holds first bridge ceremony

On Saturday, August 17, members of Girl Scout Troop 15141 held their first Bridge Ceremony at Hagerstown City Park, a celebration of Girl Scout achievements and advancement within the Girl Scout ranks.

Six of the troop’s nine Scouts crossed a bridge in the park, symbolizing their transition from Daisy to Brownie, Junior and Cadette.

Friends and family were present to share poems and memorable moments from the past year.

As each Scout left the bridge, he received his new uniform and ribbons, as well as badges and insignia representing his new rank.
