Donald Duck appears in a special episode of “Hot Ones” as Disney continues to celebrate the iconic duck’s 90th anniversary

Today, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Donald Duck, one of the hottest celebrity interview shows on the Internet, Hothas released a bespoke episode with special guest Donald Duck. In this episode, Donald is challenged by Daisy Duck and with the help of Mickey Mouse, he must prove he can withstand the heat of a specially curated selection of Disney hot sauces over cauliflower wings, while host Sean Evans asks the famous duck with the heart of gold a series of questions. This episode sheds light on Donald’s history while also showing why he is known for his temper.

Donald Duck is an iconic character and has played a key role in Disney’s unparalleled storytelling legacy. Donald’s relatable frustrations with everyday life and events have made him one of the world’s most famous people. His popularity and achievements on and off screen have earned him numerous accolades, including a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame and the immortalization of his webbed feet in cement outside the famous Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

“Mickey Mouse and his friends, including Donald Duck, have always been a part of pop culture, so it was only natural that Donald and Mickey would appear on one of the Internet’s most popular shows with celebrity guests,” said Tim Pennoyer, director of brand marketing for The Walt Disney Company.

Animation for Donald Duck in this special episode of Hot was created by the team at Walt Disney Animation Studios under the direction of legendary animator Eric Goldberg, best known for animating Genie in Disney’s Aladdin (1992) and directing Disney’s Pocahontas (1995). Disney legend Tony Anselmo voiced Donald Duck and Bret Iwan Mickey Mouse for this special appearance in Hot.

“It was a great honor to have two of our biggest stars, Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse, in this special episode of Hot. Of course, Donald can be a little moody at times, but all the artists involved loved animating him!” said Goldberg. “It was fun working with Sean Evans and the Hot Team and the voices of Donald, Tony Anselmo and Mickey, Bret Iwan.”

As we continue to celebrate Donald Duck, Mickey and friends, you can look forward to seeing them in even funnier and new variations.
