Rapper Juvenile criticizes American Airlines after removing first class seats

Rapper Juvenile, known for his hit song “Back That Azz Up,” has joined the list of celebrities who have voiced their grievances against airlines. The rapper publicly criticized American Airlines after he was allegedly removed from his first-class seat on a recent flight. Juvenile, whose real name is Terius Gray, shared his experience on social media, claiming he was unfairly singled out.

The rapper explained how he had to change from his first class seat to economy class. In a livestream video recorded and shared by AllHipHop, the 49-year-old rapper and his wife explain their situation to the flight attendants.

“We got the seats,” Juvenile’s wife says in the video. “I’m his wife, so how can you demote him and I can still stay?” Addressing his fans during the livestream, Juvenile said, “Man, they tryin’ to kick me off the plane, yo. They tryin’ to get me out of first class… Y’all ain’t putting me in economy, man. Nothing like that ever happened to me in my life.”

What happened after American Airlines removed the teenager from his first-class seat?

The rapper ultimately decided to leave the plane rather than accept a seat in economy class, stating, “I’m getting off the plane. I’m not going to let y’all disrespect me. I’m not going to let y’all pick me out of all the people on the plane to disrespect me.” In a subsequent video shared on social media, Juvenile confirmed that he would be able to travel to Dallas on another airline.

He expressed his frustration with American Airlines, saying, “I think I know a thing or two about first class,” as he scrolled through first class tickets on his mobile device. He added, “Fuck American Airlines, all that money I spent on you bitches.”

The exact circumstances that led to Juvenile’s removal from his first-class seat remain unclear. Overbooking is a common practice in the airline industry, but it is usually done by offering compensation to volunteers before involuntarily ejecting passengers from the plane. American Airlines has not yet made an official statement on the incident.
