The Shops at Atlas Park in Glendale is hosting a Swiftie Dance Party on Tuesday, August 27, featuring Taylor Swift-themed trivia, giveaways, and more.
Macerich, the real estate investment company that owns the city’s shopping center at 8000 Cooper Ave., has scheduled the Swiftie-only event for 6 to 8 p.m., with Selectah Spadez DJing and Daniel Garcia serving as emcee.
Highlights of the evening’s dance party include a Taylor Swift-inspired quiz, a “Taylor Says” challenge similar to “Simon Says,” and raffles for Taylor-inspired tattoos, friendship bracelets, and sunglasses.
Bee’s Arts and Crafts, a popular shop in Atlas Park, also offers free face painting for children.
Additionally, additional backpacks filled with back-to-school items will be available at the event while supplies last.
This unique event by the Shops at Atlas Park is part of a larger focus planned for the community shopping area this year to offer even more events to the public.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to creating unforgettable experiences for our local community, we are delighted to host a Taylor themed evening at the Shops at Atlas Park,” said Peter DeLucia, general manager of The Shops at Atlas Park. “Every summer, we host a variety of events on our Center Green, including concerts, movies and wellness activities, with the goal of providing free, family-friendly entertainment to our neighborhood. This special event is a tribute to the beloved artist who can be celebrated by all ages.”
In addition to this Swiftie-themed dance night, neighbors can also look forward to other upcoming programs at The Shops at Atlas Park, including a screening of the 2023 live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid on Wednesday, August 21 at 7 p.m. and a three-day pop-up water park experience with Slide City from Friday, August 23 to Sunday, August 25 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
