Barry Williams reveals his favorite episode of “Brady Bunch”
There were over 100 episodes of The Brady Family, not to mention the spin-offs. So if you’re a fan of the popular series, it can be very difficult to choose a favorite episode. Imagine how hard it must be for those who have experienced it! Barry Williams, who played eldest son Greg Brady in the TV series, once revealed which episode was his favorite of all time.
He admitted that the Season 2 episode “Our Son, The Man” was his favorite episode, and that’s not surprising since Greg is the main character in that episode. In the episode, which aired in 1971, Greg is now in high school and feels like he’s finally a man and not a boy anymore, and he seems to have to proclaim that at least 10 times a day. It annoys him to have so many siblings and never have any privacy. He says he’s too old for the family camping trip and wants his own bedroom, much to everyone else’s annoyance.
His parents Carol and Mike finally give in and turn the study into his own bedroom, which he transforms into his own 70s paradise, complete with lava lamps and beaded curtains. Williams said of the episode: “When I Three girls and three boysthe ’50s were really hot. In the ’80s, the ’60s thing was hot.” He added that the ’70s had a certain innocence about them that helps people remember those days fondly.
He continued: “It was so much of what made the ’70s. There were beaded curtains, lava lamps, black light posters, bell bottoms, fringed vests… and, as I fondly remember, me, a white guy with an afro.” And now tell us which Brady Bunch Is this episode your personal favorite?
