The 2025 Mercedes GLC 350e PHEV has an electric range of 54 miles for $61,050

A new plug-in hybrid version of the Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class crossover SUV has been released in the USA for the 2025 model year.

The plug-in hybrid is called GLC 350e costs $61,050 including a delivery fee of $1,150 and goes on sale now. It is based on the current generation GLC-Class, which was launched for the 2023 model year.

The powertrain combines a 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine with an electric motor for a combined output of 313 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. This enables the GLC 350e to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds, according to Mercedes. Top speed is limited to 135 mph in hybrid mode and 87 miles per hour in electric mode.

The GLC 350e isn’t the only plug-in hybrid in the GLC class. The AMG GLC 63 SE Performance is also coming to the U.S. for the 2025 model year and has 671 horsepower, but it’s more about power than efficiency. Both models will complement a plug-in hybrid version of the larger GLE class, which launched as a 2024 model.

Mercedes reportedly plans to bring the EQC electric SUV to the U.S. in 2025, after a failed attempt to launch the previous version in 2019 and faced delays. The automaker announced last month that it was pushing back its EV goals and that the internal combustion engine models would remain “well into the 2030s.”
