Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars record biggest new signing with “Die with a Smile” – Music News

This week’s highest new entry comes from Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, whose duet “Die with a Smile” debuts at No. 7. It is Gaga’s 15th and Mars’ 11th top 10 single in the UK.

Chase & Status and Stormzy’s BACKBONE tops the Official Singles Chart for two weeks in a row and is once again the most streamed song of the week in the UK (5.5 million streams).

Saul Milton and Will Kennard of Chase & Status told Official Charts that they achieved their first ever official number one single last week:

“We knew that combining with Stormzy would create something special, but we didn’t expect such a knockout reaction.

“To see him turn up at our show at Milton Keynes Bowl in his best man suit, straight from a wedding and in front of 45,000 people, was amazing! One of the biggest British MCs to ever do it, spitting about DnB. And for it to go straight to number 1? It couldn’t have gone any better for us.”

BL3SS, CamrinWatsin and bbyclose celebrate their first top 5 single today, while summer dance hit Kisses jumps up one spot to a brand new high (5).

Another week, another new peak for Belfast breakthrough artist Jordan Adetunji, who sees the catchy song KEHLANI climb to number one (8).

After a surprise performance of the track with Olivia Rodrigo in LA this week, Chappell Roan’s “HOT TO GO!” also reaches a new high, breaking into the top 10 in its 14th chart week (10).

“Big Dawgs” by rising Indian rapper Hanumankind and producer Kalmi jumps six places to enter the top ten for the first time (15). “Somedays” by Sonny Fodera, Jazzy and DOD is also on the rise this week, climbing three places (16). The same goes for “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” by Taylor Swift, which climbed four places (21) following the release of the music video shot during the Eras Tour.

While his LP F1-Trillion tops the official album charts, Guy For That, a collaboration with Post Malone’s Luke Combs, hits a new record, jumping 12 places (25). Other Posty hits benefiting from the album’s release include Morgan Wallen’s collaboration I Had Some Help, which jumped four places (29), and the Blake Shelton duet Pour Me a Drink, which raced 47 places (39) back into the top 40.

Gigi Perez’s “Sailor Song” surpasses its viral success on social media and enters the top 40 of the official singles chart for the first time with an increase of eight (35) places, while Gracie Abrams’ “I Love You, I’m Sorry” reaches its highest position yet with an increase of one (37) places.
