New Bruins star removed from list of top centers
The 2023-24 season was a rough one for new Boston Bruins center Elias Lindholm. In 75 games split between the Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks, the 29-year-old scored 15 goals and 44 points. This output was low by Lindholm’s standards, but given his past success, he undoubtedly has the potential to bounce back.

Although Lindholm has the tools to rejuvenate his offense, his poor season caused him to lose his spot on the NHL Network’s latest Top 20 Centers list. Lindholm finished 20th in last season’s rankings.

Given Lindholm’s decline in performance last season, it’s understandable that the NHL Network didn’t include him on the list this year. However, considering Lindholm has had a lot of success in the past and is slated to be Boston’s first-line center in 2024-25, he could certainly jumpstart their offense. This is especially true considering he should play on a line with superstar forward David Pastrnak.
It will be interesting to see what kind of season Lindholm has in his first year in Boston. If he can bounce back offensively and maintain his excellent defensive play, he could return to the NHL Network top 20 list next year.
