HAVANA TIMES – We are on the home stretch until the deadline (September 15th) for submitting photos for our 13th edition.^th Contest, so use the remaining month to send us your pictures!

This year there are six categories:

Signs of the times, gardens, cladding, innovations, lines and curves, fences and doors are the categories.

Recognitions: All photos of the semi-finalists and finalists will be published by Havana Times and will be prominently displayed for several days and will remain available to readers. Again this year we are unable to offer cash prizes. However, the winners and those specifically mentioned will each receive an attractive certificate for their achievement.

Competition rules

1.– Professional and amateur photographers of all ages and nationalities are welcome to take part.

2.- The photos must have been taken somewhere in Latin America or the Caribbean. The time of the photo is not important.

3.– Photographs must be submitted in the following categories: Signs of the times, Gardens, Cladding, Innovations, Lines and curves, Fences and doors.

A maximum of three pictures can be submitted per category. There is no minimum number.

4.- Photos must be sent as attachments in JPG format, with the longest edge no larger than 1080 pixels and a maximum size of 500 KB. They can be horizontal, vertical or square. The photos must not contain any watermarks or photo credits. If you have any questions about this, please ask.

5.- Number the photos within each category. For example: Innovations 1, Innovations 2 and Innovations 3. Fairings 1, Fairings 2, Fairings 3, etc. And send us a short caption for each photo separately in a text document.

6.- Send us your pictures: Photos should be sent as attachments. To submit photos, send them to our competition curator Axel Saenz at: (email protected) with a copy to (email protected)

7.– The submission deadline is 15 September 2024

8.- During the selection process, Havana Times will publish the semi-finalists, finalists and winning images.

9.- Participation in the contest implies that the author agrees that the photos submitted may be included in HT’s archives and may be used in the Havana Times and the social networks in which HT is present (with reference to the author).

10.– Prizes: Certificates for winners and special mentions will be sent via email or on a cloud drive or both, depending on the person’s preference.

11.– The winners of the competition will be announced by HT no later than 15 November 2024. This decision is final.

12.– Participation in the competition implies acceptance of all the rules. HT reserves the right to resolve any eventuality not provided for in the rules.

13.– THE JURY is composed of 15 to 20 members, including photographers, writers and guest readers of the Havana Times from different countries.
