For patients, education is crucial so that they can anticipate potential postoperative challenges, understand the risks, and make informed decisions about their treatment options. The study calls for increased awareness and proactive management of pelvic floor disorders in women undergoing radical cystectomy and advocates for a multidisciplinary approach that integrates surgical expertise, pelvic floor rehabilitation, and patient education.

Such an approach can significantly mitigate the side effects of surgery, thereby improving long-term outcomes and increasing patients’ overall quality of life. This comprehensive review is an important resource for clinicians and surgeons, providing insight into the complexity of pelvic floor health in the context of radical cystectomy and underscoring the importance of ongoing research and education in this field.
